Proctanal Enema is a disposable medical device based on sodium phosphate in the form of a rectal enema. Its task is to cleanse the large intestine. Indicated for use in the case of constipation of various origins, to cleanse the large intestine before diagnostic tests and before and after surgery or childbirth. It helps move feces, making defecation easier.

Indications:

in case of constipation, especially if it is persistent
in preparation for radiological and endoscopic examinations of the final section of the intestine
as pre- and post-operative intestinal cleansing
as intestinal cleansing before and after childbirth

Action:

Sodium phosphate in the form of rectal enemas is used to cleanse the large intestine. Through its osmotic effect in the lumen of the large intestine, it prevents the absorption of water, causing the softening of feces. The increase in volume and softening of fecal masses leads to immediate stimulation of the defecation reflex.
